If being creative isn’t giving you joy, there really isn’t any point. When your creativity is also your livelihood, it’s really easy to get caught up in what the ‘market’ wants or expects and you might soon find yourself doing things that aren’t that joyful. Luckily, this is something I learned early on. I try to think of my art when it was only my hobby and I just did what I wanted to do, what I found joyful. It’s more fulfilling to market what you create than create what (you think) the market wants.
